The Altadena Library Foundation Endowment is a designated endowment of the Pasadena Community Foundation, benefiting programming, facility support, and outreach efforts of the Altadena Library District.. Mark’s involvement in the library began more than 25 years ago when he and his wife, Paula, became members of Friends of the Altadena Library. "My wife and I brought our two daughters to this library hundreds of times and now we have 3 grandchildren we bring to the library so they can also experience the love of learning." Library staff are working to strengthen local Little Free Libraries (LFLs) by keeping them stocked and sharing literacy resources across Altadena.
